Ask a Question

Open the chat pane, ask for something useful, and read the answer it hands back.

Open Overview in BrokerPlus

Your assistant lives in a chat pane over every page in BrokerPlus. Open it, ask for what you need in plain language, and it goes and looks rather than guessing.

Opening the Chat Pane

A round button floats over every page. Drag it to any edge or corner, or nudge it with the arrow keys, and it stays where you left it. Clicking it opens BrokerPlus Chat, where your assistant sits at the top of the same list as your teammates. Opening it there always starts a fresh conversation. Earlier ones are in the switcher at the top of the pane, and New Conversation starts another whenever you want a clean slate.

What to Ask For

Ask the way you'd ask a colleague: find a borrower across your deals, pull up renewal candidates, check equity on a property, add a task, draft an email. It reads your deals, contacts, tasks, conditions and compliance records to answer, and for regulatory questions it searches a curated corpus covering FINTRAC, Canadian mortgage basics, lender programs, provincial rules and interest rate differential math. If you opened the pane from a deal page, that deal is already pinned as the one in front of you, so "this file" means it without you naming it.

Asking by Voice or Screenshot

Hold Shift and A to record a voice note instead of typing. Press it again to stop recording, and the transcript sends once it is ready. You can also paste up to three screenshots straight into the composer, on their own or alongside a written question. A fourth pasted image is quietly dropped, and one that is too large to send is flagged so you know to try a smaller one.

Reading the Steps and Cards It Returns

While it works, a short running list shows what it is doing - searching your deals, checking compliance, running a calculation - and folds into a single line once the turn settles. Click that line open to see the full list again, including anything that failed, with a retry button beside it. Most answers land as a card holding the data itself, with a line of framing written above it: a deal summary, a list of open conditions, a draft ready for review, rather than a paragraph you have to parse yourself.

Names of deals, contacts, tasks, documents and email threads inside an answer are live chips, not plain text. Click one and it takes you straight to that record, except a document chip, which opens a preview instead of navigating you away from the conversation.

Stopping an Answer or Starting Fresh

A stop button sits in the composer for as long as it is writing. Press it and the reply settles on whatever was already finished rather than continuing on. Start a new line of questioning with New Conversation, or reopen an earlier thread from the switcher at the top of the pane - each one keeps its own history rather than blending together.
