Advanced Pulse used to be something you switched on. It no longer is. Every account opens Pulse on the canvas by default now, so there is nothing to find and flip in most cases. This article is about what that canvas actually changes, and the one condition that can still leave it missing.

12:47What Advanced Changes
The canvas replaces a form you filled in with a conversation you describe. Open Create and say what you want an automation to do; the canvas builds the branching tree behind it rather than asking you to assemble triggers, waits and conditions by hand. Everything the canvas builds is a real automation the moment you save it, sitting alongside anything built the older way in your Library.
Reading the Board
Each automation is a column, and its header stays put as you scroll: the name, its description, and Active or Inactive beside its switch. The first card under it is the moment that starts it. Emails, texts and tasks show as full cards naming the template they use, while waits, checks and splits sit between them as slim lines.
Press + on any gap to add a step there. One list opens with waits and checks under Flow and every action under Actions, and you can type to search it. Drag a step by its handle to move it, and click an automation's name to open its settings. It moves to the middle of the board and the others fade back until you close it. Columns line up in the order a file meets them, from new leads through each stage to closing and beyond, and Review at the top of Pulse lists every automation that way as plain When, Wait and Then lines. Press Review again to go back to your templates in the Library. Click any email or text in Review to read its copy and change it right there, or use Open in Canvas to rework the steps. Export PDF downloads the same list as a document, grouped by stage with who each message goes to and when, to share or keep on file.
Where the Switch Lives
There is no separate settings toggle any more. The Create tab in Pulse is the canvas itself, and it is what every account opens on. If your Pulse still shows a flat trigger form instead, look at the Library tab: your existing automations and templates are read there now, in one list, whether you built them by hand or a colleague did.
Why It May Not Be Offered to You
The rare case where Create is missing is not about you personally. It is a single switch your brokerage's deployment can hold, off by default only if someone has deliberately turned it off at the organization level. There is no per-broker allowlist behind it any more; either your whole brokerage has the canvas or, for the moment, none of you do. If you believe yours should have it and does not, that is a question for whoever administers your BrokerPlus deployment, not a setting on your own profile.
What Happens When You Leave Advanced
Closing a canvas session does not undo anything it already saved. Close ends that conversation and drops you back on the Library, where every automation you built, through the canvas or the older form, keeps running exactly as it was left. Nothing about how an automation fires depends on how it was authored.
Coming Back In
To open the canvas again, start from Create: describe a new automation, or pick one of the starting points offered there. An automation already saved is edited from the Library instead, opening the same branching view you built it in. Either way, you land back in the same place you left, with nothing lost from the session before.
What to Do Next
- Hold Everything in Read-Only Mode to test a new automation safely before it reaches real clients.
- Describe an Automation to Your Assistant for more on writing the opening brief the canvas builds from.
- Choose a Trigger if you would rather start from a condition than a sentence.
