Record Calls and Announce It

Turning on call recording captures every connected call on your BrokerPlus line and transcribes it. Turn on the notice beside it and the other person hears a short spoken line, in a voice you choose, before you start talking.

When You'd Use This

Turn recording on any time you want a call captured for your own file, for a teammate to review later, or because a client conversation is easier to recall from a transcript than from memory. Most provinces expect the other party to know a call is being taped, so BrokerPlus pairs the recording switch with a notice rather than leaving disclosure up to you to remember separately.

Turn Recording On

Open Phone > Settings > Call handling and switch on Record calls. Every call that connects from that point on is recorded and transcribed; turning the switch off stops new calls from being captured, but it does not touch anything already recorded.

Write What Callers Hear

Once recording is on, Announce the recording appears underneath it. Turn it on and the notice plays before you connect to the other person, whatever else happens on the call. Fill in What they hear with your own wording, up to 300 characters, or leave it blank and BrokerPlus uses a stock line: "This call is recorded so we can keep accurate notes for your file." Turning off the notice switch silences it without touching the recording itself.

Choose a Spoken Voice or Upload Your Own

Switch between Spoken for you and Your recording. The first picks one of BrokerPlus's voices to read your notice text aloud, with a play button on each one so you can hear a sample before you pick it. The second lets you upload your own MP3 or WAV of yourself reading the notice, which plays back exactly as recorded and overrides the generated voice while it's in place. Either way, Play at the bottom of the card plays the live notice exactly as a caller will hear it, so you can check the wording and the voice together before you trust it on a real call.

Pause Recording During a Call

Once a call is connected, the in-call dock shows a REC indicator with a pause control beside it whenever recording is on for your line. Select it to pause, and select it again to resume. This is useful for a part of the conversation you'd rather not have captured, like reading out a credit card number, without turning the whole feature off in settings.

What To Watch Out For

• The notice only plays while Announce the recording is switched on. Turning recording on by itself does not tell the caller anything.
• Uploading your own recording takes priority over the generated voice automatically. Remove the upload to fall back to the spoken version.
• BrokerPlus states that the notice plays before the call connects. It does not tell you what your province requires you to say, so write wording you're comfortable standing behind.
