5:07Set Your Business Hours
Each day of the week has its own switch and window. Turn a day off to mark it unavailable all day, or turn it on and set an open and close time. Reset to Mon-Fri 9-5 puts the schedule back to a plain default in one click. Business hours drive everything else on this page: when your cell rings, when the receptionist (if you use one) picks up, and when voicemail is the only thing left.
Forward Calls to Your Cell
Forward calls to takes the mobile number you want your BrokerPlus line to ring alongside. Enter it as a plain 10-digit North American number and BrokerPlus stores it in the format your carrier expects. Leave it blank and only an open BrokerPlus browser can answer.
What Rings Inside Hours and Outside Them
During business hours, an active BrokerPlus browser and your forwarding cell ring at the same time, and whichever one answers first takes the call. Outside business hours, your cell is not rung, but an open browser, or a receptionist you have turned on, can still pick up before the call reaches voicemail. Write or Record a Voicemail Greeting
Under Voicemail, choose Automatic or Recorded. Automatic reads back a greeting you type, up to 600 characters, in a natural spoken voice; something like "Hi, you've reached Alex at BrokerPlus, please leave a message."
Recorded is your own voice. Press Record and speak into your computer's microphone, up to two minutes; your browser asks permission the first time. Press Stop when you are done, Play to hear it back, and Save to put it on your line, or Record again to start over. If you would rather use something you already have, Upload takes an mp3, wav, m4a, or aac file. Either way, Play lets you hear the greeting callers are getting right now, and Remove takes it off. Switch back to Automatic, or remove the recording, and the typed greeting takes over again. Callers reach voicemail only once every other option, an open browser, your cell inside hours, or the receptionist, has had its chance and missed.
Missed Call and On-Screen Alerts
Under Phone > Settings > Notifications, On-screen alerts pops a card in the corner the moment your line rings or a text arrives, wherever you are in BrokerPlus; it is personal to you and changes nothing about how a call is actually handled. Alert sounds adds a chime for a text and a ring for a call, each its own switch, so a background tab can still get your attention with sound alone. Missed call alerts texts your own cell after you miss an inbound call; turning it off does not touch the in-app missed-call notice, which always fires.
