Your BrokerPlus line can ring right in the browser, so you can answer at your desk without touching your cell.
What the Browser Needs First
Browser calling needs a secure connection and microphone access. The first time you answer, BrokerPlus asks for the microphone; allow it, or the call fails before it connects. If access is blocked, allow it from the address bar's site settings and try again. Keeping BrokerPlus open in an active tab also matters: hiding the tab stops it claiming new calls immediately, and a visible but idle tab drops out after about two minutes without any keyboard, pointer, or scroll activity. A call already in progress keeps the browser reachable regardless.
Answer, Decline, or Leave It Ringing
An incoming call pops a card with the caller's name or number, pulled from your contacts when it recognizes them, along with their linked deal and any notes on file. Answer or decline it from there, or dismiss the card and let it keep ringing; dismissing does not hang up, it just clears the popup while the call continues on whatever else is set up to ring, such as your forwarding cell or the receptionist.
Mute, Hold, and the Keypad
Once you are on a call, a floating bar at the bottom of the screen shows who you are talking to and how long the call has run. From there, mute or unmute your microphone, put the call on hold and resume it, or open the keypad to send touch tones, for keying in an extension once you reach an automated line. If the call unexpectedly reaches your own voicemail, a banner tells you so, with a one-click way to say that is wrong.
Transfer a Live Caller
Open the transfer control from the call bar and type the number to send the caller to. Confirming it hands the caller off immediately; you drop off the call the moment the other side answers, so there is no three-way conversation to manage afterward.
When the Browser Does Not Ring
If BrokerPlus is not open, or the tab has gone idle without any activity, the browser will not be part of the ring for an inbound call. During business hours it still rings your forwarding cell alongside the browser; outside them, only the browser or a configured receptionist can pick up before the call reaches voicemail. See Set Up Call Routing and Voicemail to review what else is set to ring.
