Creating a Finmo API Token
In Finmo, open the Control Centre, go to Integrations, and use Create or Copy an API Token. There is nothing to export: the token is the whole handover, and Finmo keeps syncing afterwards rather than handing you a file that goes stale.
The token belongs to the brokerage rather than to one broker, so any admin can create it and the whole connection shares it. Choose Production if you submit real deals through Finmo, or Staging if your firm tests there first; BrokerPlus checks the token against whichever environment you pick and rejects one that does not match.
Connecting Finmo
Open Settings > Sync and connect Finmo with that token. BrokerPlus verifies it against Finmo immediately, so a bad token or the wrong environment comes back as an error there rather than failing silently later. Once connected, the rail card shows how many deals are linked and when Finmo was last read.
Running the Import and Reviewing It
Press Import my book to pull every application Finmo holds. Nothing is created until you confirm: BrokerPlus maps the applications onto BrokerPlus's fields and hands you the same review screen a spreadsheet import uses, with lender matches and column mappings to check. What Stays Linked to Finmo
An imported application arrives as it stood the day you brought it in, and BrokerPlus keeps reading Finmo for what changes on that file afterwards. Push one of your own BrokerPlus deals across when you want your edits to travel the other way too - that is the act that opens the two-way link for that one deal, and from then on a change on either side reaches the other.
New Finmo Applications After You Connect
A deal you start in BrokerPlus after connecting goes to Finmo as a new application on its own, with no button to press. If more than ten arrive unattended at once (an import, a book lift, a runaway automation) BrokerPlus holds them and asks an admin to approve sending them, rather than quietly filing a few hundred files into your live Finmo account.
Running the Import Again
Import from Finmo again any time you like. BrokerPlus matches each application on Finmo's own identifier, so a repeat run updates what is already linked instead of duplicating it. Cancelled, declined, abandoned and duplicate email-plus-property applications are excluded, and one run brings in up to 5,000 eligible applications.
