Velocity is a live connection too, but it does not mirror the way Finmo does: BrokerPlus reads your Velocity book and keeps reading it, but nothing you do in BrokerPlus travels back to Velocity.
Creating Your Velocity API Key
In Velocity, press the gear icon, open Connect Your Apps, and choose Velocity API. Press Request an API Key, give getbrokerplus.ca as the domain, and press Request Key.
The key is yours, not your brokerage's - each agent requests their own, and it reads only the deals that agent can already see in Velocity.
Request the Key Before You Need It
Velocity reviews the request before the key works, which usually takes about a day, and they email you as it moves. Ask for it first and set the rest of BrokerPlus up while you wait.
Connecting Velocity
Open Settings > Sync, paste your API key, and choose Production or Staging to match where your deals live. BrokerPlus validates the key against Velocity before saving the connection.
What Is Read and What Is Not Sent Back
BrokerPlus reads the last five years of your Velocity deals, up to 5,000 of them, and keeps reading afterwards for what changes. Nothing runs the other way: Velocity publishes no way to update a deal it holds, so an edit you make in BrokerPlus stays in BrokerPlus, and anything that has to reach the lender still has to be changed in Velocity itself.
Reviewing the Import
Press Import my book to pull your Velocity deals into the same review screen a spreadsheet import uses. BrokerPlus flags a loan already linked from an earlier pull and a likely duplicate matched on the borrower's email, property or closing date, so you can skip either rather than create a second file. Nothing is created until you confirm. Imported deals start blocked from outreach automations, since these are real borrowers who never opted into a BrokerPlus sequence; turn outreach on for a deal once you are ready to contact them yourself.
Keeping Deal Status Current With the Webhook
Paste the webhook URL on the connection card into your own Velocity settings - Velocity has no way to register it for you. Once it is there, a status change on a linked deal in Velocity queues an authenticated re-read here within moments. Without it, BrokerPlus still re-reads linked deals on its own schedule and checks for new loan codes hourly, so nothing goes stale, but the webhook is what makes it feel immediate. Sync now asks for both of those sweeps early instead of waiting for the next tick.
Disconnecting and Reconnecting
Disconnecting drops your key and pauses your linked deals; nothing is deleted. Reconnecting with a new key picks the same relationships back up rather than importing your book a second time.
