BrokerPlus reaches a real lender through Velocity or Finmo, not on its own rail. Until one is connected, you can still build a submission package and the cover note for a deal, but the send button stays off - Settings > Sync is where that connection is made.
Why a Connection Is Needed to Submit
BrokerPlus's own lender rail reaches exactly one lender, in a test environment, so a brokerage that has connected neither Velocity nor Finmo has nowhere real to send a file. Connecting either one opens the send. If your brokerage connects Finmo, every deal that was undecided or defaulting to BrokerPlus routes through Finmo instead - one connection sets the whole workspace's rail rather than leaving it a per-deal choice, since a brokerage rarely reaches a lender two different ways at once.
What Velocity Mirrors and What It Cannot Take Back
Velocity mirrors your deals from the last five years and keeps reading them on a schedule, but it publishes no way to send a change back. Anything you edit in BrokerPlus after a deal reaches Velocity stays in BrokerPlus; whatever still needs to reach the lender has to be changed in Velocity directly.
What Finmo Mirrors Both Ways
Finmo runs both ways once a deal is linked. You start the first import or push; from there, Finmo's own changes reach BrokerPlus on their own, and a deal you push from BrokerPlus goes out and keeps syncing back.
Connecting With Your API Key or Token
- Open Settings > Sync and press Connect Velocity or Connect Finmo on the card you want.
- For Velocity, create an API key in your own Velocity settings and paste it in. The key is yours, not your brokerage's, so each broker connects separately. Leave Environment on Production unless you were handed a sandbox key.
- For Finmo, create an API token for your brokerage in Finmo and paste it in. Nothing moves until you start an import.
- On a connected Velocity card, copy the Webhook url and paste it into Velocity yourself - Velocity offers no way to register it for you, and skipping this step means deal status stops updating on its own.
Importing Your Book From the Connection
Press Import my book on either card to pull your existing deals in. The card reads Importing while it reads, then offers Review import - nothing is added to your book until you confirm what came in. Once an import finishes, new changes on those deals arrive on their own from there. A book that suddenly grows by far more deals than a person would create by hand is held for an admin to release rather than sent to Finmo automatically.
Reading the Sync Figures
Each card shows Deals linked and Last pull, the oldest read among your live links, so you can see how stale the least current one is. Badges appear only when they apply: paused deals, deals not reaching the provider, and deals never read. Disconnecting a rail pauses its linked deals rather than deleting anything - reconnecting picks the same deals back up instead of importing your book twice.
What to Do Next
- Send a Submission once a deal has somewhere to go.
- Keep a Deal in Sync With Velocity or Finmo to push one file across and read what it is mirroring.
