Resolve a Task From Its Own Panel

Take the action a task is asking for without opening the deal behind it.

What Sits Inside an Open Task

Open any task from the queue and its panel carries everything you would otherwise cross to the deal for: the description, the record the task is filed against, its priority and assignee, a progress slider, and any subtasks. The header row shows what the task is linked to and lets you snooze it without scrolling. Closing the panel is the only way back to the queue, and a completed or cancelled task keeps its history but drops its editing controls.

Task Types That Carry Their Own Action

Some task types resolve with a single button tied to the record itself, not a generic mark-done. A Review Draft task opens the drafted message inline, so approving and sending happen in the same click, and rejecting throws the draft away. A Decide Condition task carries Waive and Mark Satisfied, and either one updates the condition on the deal at the same moment it closes the task. A Decide Flag task offers Override and Resolve. Approve Addon Attach, Approve Screening, Follow Up Stalled, Info Needed, Submission Ready, and Approve Agent Action each carry their own action built around what that specific task is asking for. Taking the action both changes the record and completes the task in one step, so there is no separate confirmation afterward. A view-only teammate sees the same panel with every one of these buttons removed - they can read what a task is asking for but never press anything.

The Record a Task Is About

Every one of these action buttons writes to the record the task is linked to, not to the task alone. Satisfying a condition through its task marks that condition satisfied on the deal, the same change covered in Track Conditions on a Deal, and approving a screening through its task clears it the same way running the check directly would, covered in Run a Screening on a Client. That is what lets you clear the queue without opening the deal at all: the task panel is a shortcut onto the record's own state, not a separate copy of it that could drift out of sync.

Tasks That Only Have Mark Complete

A handful of task types carry no inline resolve at all: a manual to-do you typed yourself, an approve or decide task with nothing left to attach to, and a lender response received with no submission behind it. These fall back to a plain Mark Complete button in the header, since there is no record-level action to take on their behalf - completing the task is the whole job. That button carries a six-second undo, the same one covered on the queue itself, so an accidental click is never final.
