Beyond the tasks BrokerPlus files for you, there are three ways it nudges you about the work already sitting in your own queue: an in-app reminder while you're working, a daily email that rounds everything up before you start your day, and, if you turn it on, a separate email for each task as it comes due.
The Reminders Switch in Task Settings
Open Tasks, select the settings icon, and find Overdue task reminders under Reminders. This one switch governs both the in-app nudges below and the daily brief. Turn it off and neither reaches you; it's on by default.
An Email for Each Task
If you work out of your inbox, turn on Task reminder emails in the same Reminders section. You then get one email per task, at the same two moments as the in-app nudges below: when it's due within the next 24 hours, and again if it goes overdue. A task you set for a few minutes from now reaches your inbox within five minutes of its due time.
Each email carries the task's title, the client and deal it belongs to, when it's due, and everything in its notes, so a checklist you keep on one task reads the same way in your inbox. Open Task takes you straight to that task, and a second button opens the deal or contact it belongs to. The subject line names the client, which makes the email easy to file in that client's folder once you're done.
Only tasks assigned to you send an email. A task with nobody assigned still gives the deal's broker an in-app nudge, but never an email. This switch is off for everyone until you turn it on, and it works independently of Overdue task reminders, so you can have either one, both, or neither.
Counting Only Today in the Sidebar Badge
The Tasks badge in your sidebar can count two different things, your choice. Left on all, it counts every open task regardless of when it's due. Switch Count only today's tasks on and it counts only what's due today plus anything already overdue, and rolls over live at midnight without you having to reload the page.
Due Soon and Overdue Nudges
BrokerPlus checks your open tasks against their due dates every five minutes. A task due within the next 24 hours fires a due soon nudge; once its due date has passed, it fires overdue instead, within five minutes of the time you picked. Each fires only once per task, so you won't see the same nudge twice, though a task that slips from due soon into overdue gets the second one. Move an overdue task to a later time and it reminds you again when that time comes. A task you've snoozed, or muted from reminders directly, stays quiet either way.
What Your Daily Brief Contains
The brief is an email, sent once a day, that gathers your overdue and due-today tasks first, then what's coming up in the next week, then anything with no date at all ranked the way your queue already ranks it. Underneath that it lists deals closing today or this week across your team, plus, where relevant, drafts ready for your review, work that's gone stale, and anything BrokerPlus resolved or executed overnight. A brief with nothing to report doesn't send.
Choosing the Hour It Arrives
Pick the hour it lands, between 5am and noon in your own timezone, from Settings. It defaults to 9am and skips weekends.
Turning the Brief Off
Your own subscription switch in notification settings turns the brief off without touching the in-app nudges above. A team's broker can also stop a specific teammate's brief from their side, but your own choice always wins over that, whichever way you've set it.
