Two controls on a task look like they do the same thing and do not. Snoozing hides a task from view for a while. Changing its due date moves the deadline itself, the one your reports and BrokerPlus's own reminders read. Reach for the wrong one and either your queue lies to you or your team's deadline data does.

Snoozing sets when a task comes back into view. The task itself, its due date, its priority, everything about it, stays exactly as it was. Snoozing says "not right now," not "this isn't due yet."
What Changing a Due Date Does
Editing Due date on the task changes the actual deadline. That is the date the task queue sorts by, the date automatic reminders and the daily brief measure against, and the date anyone else looking at this task sees. Move it and you are telling your team, and BrokerPlus, that the work itself is now due at a different time.
When a Snoozed Task Comes Back Early
Snoozing does not override a real deadline. If a task's due date falls within three days, it resurfaces even though its snooze date is still in the future. A task you snoozed for a week does not vanish for the full week if it happens to be due in two days. This is deliberate: a hide-until is never allowed to bury work that is actually about to come due.
Finding and Unsnoozing a Task
Switch to the Snoozed tab on the tasks page to see everything currently hidden this way. Open the snooze control on any row and choose Unsnooze to bring it back immediately, or pick a new date to push it further out.
Which One to Use
Snooze when the work is still due when it's due, you just don't want it cluttering today's queue, waiting on a reply, a document, or something outside your control. Change the due date when the deadline itself has genuinely moved, a closing pushed back, a lender extended a hold, and you want that new date to be the one everyone, including BrokerPlus's own scans, treats as real. Snoozing is a personal filter on what you see. A due date is a fact about the task.
