The Acquisition card on your business overview answers a simple question: which channels bring people in, and which of those actually pay. Every lead and funded deal carries a channel tag, and this card ranks them two different ways at once.
What Counts as a Channel
BrokerPlus seeds every organization with the same starting list: Lead Form, Referral, Google, ChatGPT, Social, Email, Cold Outreach, Repeat Client, and Other. You can add your own, Podcast, for example, without anyone building it for you. A seeded channel can't be renamed, since the whole point is a shared vocabulary your funnel can compare on, but its color and order are yours to change. Removing one never deletes history; it archives the channel and clears it off any lead or deal that carried it.
Ranking by Leads or by Revenue
Two buttons above the card switch the whole ranking instantly, with no reload: By Leads sorts by how many people came in through each channel, and By Revenue sorts by how much of what you have earned traces back to it. The two rankings often disagree. A lead form can dominate volume while referrals quietly carry the money, and flipping between the views is how you catch that instead of assuming your busiest channel is your best one.
Reading the Funnel Beside the List
The funnel is a shape: channels stacked widest-first, so your biggest source sits at the mouth and everything past it narrows toward zero. Every channel with any leads or revenue gets its own band, including one sitting at zero, because a channel that stopped producing is itself a finding worth seeing, not something to hide. The list beside it adds what the shape cannot: for each channel, the share of leads that converted, how many deals funded, and the volume behind that revenue.
Leads With No Channel Set
Below the funnel, if any leads have never had a channel set, BrokerPlus tells you how many. This is not an edge case to explain away; it is a fact your funnel is entitled to have you know. An untagged lead is invisible to both rankings above, and any deal it turns into stays untagged as well. Fixing it does not mean rebuilding your pipeline, just going back and tagging the leads you missed.
Setting the Channel on a Lead
Open a lead's detail and find its Acquisition Channel field. Choose from the catalog there, or add a new channel from the same menu if the one you need does not exist yet. A deal keeps whatever channel its originating lead carried, so tagging early is enough; a deal opened without ever passing through a lead has no channel to inherit and shows up in the same untagged count.
What to Do Next
- Work Your Leads to tag a channel before a lead turns into a deal.
- Read Your Finances Overview to see this revenue against everything else you have earned.
- Track lead conversion once you are ready to see which channels close, not just which ones bring people in.
