Connect Your Accounting Software

Link QuickBooks Online, then map the accounts and payees your commission journals post to.

  • Solo Broker
Open Integrations in BrokerPlus

Connect your accounting system once and every funded commission posts itself as a balanced journal entry: income, agent splits, referral and franchise fees, all without retyping a thing.

Which Systems Connect Today

BrokerPlus connects to QuickBooks Online. Other systems brokers ask for, including Xero, Sage Business Cloud, FreshBooks and Zoho Books, are listed on the Accounting card as planned and are not yet connectable; selecting one does nothing until it ships. Only an Owner/Admin or a solo broker can open this card, since a mapping change here decides what lands in your actual book.

Connecting QuickBooks Online

Go to Settings > Integrations and find the Accounting card.

  1. Select Connect next to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Sign in and choose the company on Intuit's own consent screen.
  3. Return to BrokerPlus, where the card now shows the company name and its home currency.

If QuickBooks Online shows as unavailable rather than connectable, BrokerPlus has not finished its own app setup for your workspace; ask your admin rather than retrying. Connecting to a different QuickBooks company later does not erase the old one: the previous connection is parked as disconnected, keeping its postings and history intact while mappings move to the new book.

Mapping Your Ledger Accounts

Once connected, select Accounts on the QuickBooks row to open the mapping screen. Each role, Commission Receivable, Commission Income, Agent Commission Expense, Referral Fee Expense and the rest, needs one account from your chart. A role marked Required blocks postings until it is mapped; the roles nothing posts to yet, such as House Split Income, sit behind a Show toggle so the required list stays short. The picker only offers accounts your connected book currently has active, so a retired or renamed account never gets chosen by mistake.

Mapping Who Gets Paid

Every payout also needs a payee mapped to a vendor in your connected book. Choose a payee kind, Broker, House, Franchise, Referral or Other, then a vendor from the list QuickBooks returns. A broker payee is picked by name from your team; the other kinds take a free-text label since BrokerPlus has no way to know what you call them in your own books. Nothing saves until every payee row names both a person or label and a vendor.

Testing and Disconnecting

Use Test on the connected row to confirm BrokerPlus can still reach your book; a failure updates the card's status rather than waiting for the next posting to surface it. Disconnect revokes BrokerPlus's authorization at QuickBooks and parks the connection rather than deleting it, because every posting and every reconciliation exception still points back to it as the record of what was sent. Reconnecting later resumes against the mappings already on file.

What to Do Next

  • Read Work the Accounting Ledger to see how a funded commission actually posts once your accounts are mapped.
  • Manage this and every other connected system from the Integrations settings page.
  • Read Work Your Receivables to see what is still owed before it ever reaches your books.

Keeps track of what you have already been through.
