Every Business page, Finances, Performance, the goals card, all of it, describes one broker's book. Which broker's, and whether you can open the section at all, comes down to one grant and one relationship: your team, and what its broker has lent you.
Why Business Is Missing From Someone's Menu
The Business item in the sidebar only renders for someone who can actually read it: a team's own broker, or a teammate that broker has handed See business analytics on the team's Permissions page. Everyone else, a coordinator, an assistant, anyone without that grant, never sees the item at all. There is no locked page sitting behind it and no screen explaining the refusal; a link typed in by hand bounces you straight back out, because a page full of refusals teaches nothing a missing menu item hasn't already said.
Lending a Teammate Your Reports
As a broker, you decide who on your team gets this. Open your team's Permissions, and find See business analytics filed under Your business, next to the separate grants for viewing commission and managing the team itself. Turning it on for someone lends them the read; it does not hand them your book to edit or your commission rows to change, and it does not open Business for the rest of your book if you run more than one team. Turning it off removes their Business item the next time they load the app, the same way it never appeared for them before you granted it.
Whose Book the Numbers Describe
If you are a team's own broker, Business always shows your own book, there is no other book on offer. If you hold the grant on someone else's team, Business shows that team's broker, never a rolled-up total and never your own numbers, because a coordinator has no book of their own to fall back to. If you belong to no team at all, or you are your organization's only user, Business is simply yours.
What Only an Administrator Sees
An Owner or Admin opening their own Business page sees their own book, exactly like anyone else; holding the admin role does not widen what this page shows. The firm-wide roll-up across every team lives on a separate page built for that job, The Brokerage Overview Page, gated to Owner/Admin on its own terms rather than inherited from anything here.
What to Do Next
- Read Understand Roles and Permissions for how this grant sits beside your other permissions.
- Read How Teams Work in Your Brokerage for what a broker's team actually is.
- Read Your Finances Overview for what the book you can now see contains.
