Set How Client Uploads Are Checked

Decide how much checking a client's upload gets before it reaches you, and what counts as a large deposit.

Open Client Requests in BrokerPlus

Every upload gets classified, extracted, and quality-checked the moment it lands, whatever you have set here. The Checking What Comes In section of the Documents pane in Client Requests Settings decides what happens after that: whether a clean result clears itself or waits for you, and what a client sees while it happens.

When You'd Use This

Set this once, early on, and revisit it if you notice files piling up in review that never needed a second look, or if a large cash deposit slipped through without the source-of-funds question being asked.

Clear a Clean Document Automatically

Verify Documents Your Clients Upload is off by default. On, a client's upload moves straight to Verified the moment it passes every check. Off, the same checks still run, and you approve or reject each result yourself. Turning this on changes nothing about the analysis itself, only whether a clean outcome settles the file or lands in your queue.

Verify Documents You Upload covers what you or your team add directly to a deal, and it starts from the opposite default: on. Only an admin can change it, and it behaves the same way in reverse, a document that passes moves straight to Verified unless you turn this off and review your own uploads too.

Check Client Uploads Before They Send

Show Clients What Needs Fixing decides what a client sees about a problem file while they are still in the request. On, they see which upload has an issue and how to correct it, right there on the card, so a blurry pay stub gets fixed before it ever reaches you. Off, they only see that their file was received; the same checks still run behind the scenes; the difference is just what you show them. This is your own preference, not the brokerage's, and it applies going forward. A request already open keeps whatever setting was in effect when it opened.

Set the Large Deposit Review Threshold

Large deposit review threshold flags any bank deposit at or above this dollar amount for source-of-funds review, whatever your auto-verify settings say. It defaults to $5,000 and can be set anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000.

This is a compliance trigger, not a convenience setting

A flagged deposit needs an explanation of where the money came from before the file moves on. Setting the threshold too high is how an unexplained large deposit slips past the review it should have gotten.

Common Gotchas

  • Auto-verify only decides who reviews a clean result. A document with a real problem is never auto-cleared, on or off.
  • The client-facing feedback toggle and the two auto-verify toggles look related but answer different questions: one is about what a client sees, the other two are about who signs off internally.
  • Broker uploads and client uploads default in opposite directions on purpose. Don't assume flipping one flips the other.
  • The large deposit threshold has a hard floor of $1,000 and ceiling of $10,000. You cannot turn deposit review off entirely by raising it past that.

What to Do Next

  • Work a Returned Request to see what happens once a client resubmits a fixed file.
  • Request Changes on a Document for how to send a rejection back with your own note.
  • Set the Defaults Clients See to choose what a client meets everywhere else in the request.

Keeps track of what you have already been through.
