The application is the one form every client fills in before anything else happens on their file. Before sending it, open Client Requests, then Settings, to decide how forgiving it is, what a client may skip, and whether it collects a signature on your own consent form.
When You'd Use This
Go here before you send your first application, and again anytime you want a client to submit early, book a call instead of answering a hard question, or sign a compliance document you require. It's brokerage-wide, not per-client.
What the Application Asks For
The application walks a client through goal, borrowers, income, and property sections before ending on Compliance, where they answer two politically-exposed-person questions and give privacy and credit-pull consent. Your own extra questions go on the Custom Questions pane: short text prompts appearing in an Other section just before Review & Submit. Clients may leave any blank, each capped at a fixed length. Only the team's broker can add, edit, or remove them.
A client whose move-in date is over three years back isn't asked about a previous address, and an employee picks salary, hourly or commission as how they're paid.
Let Clients Send an Unfinished Application
Let clients send an unfinished application is off until turned on. On, a client can submit with required answers still blank rather than getting stuck hunting for a number. You still see exactly what they left blank, so it becomes your follow-up list instead of a locked door for clients who'd rather phone you.
A neighbouring toggle, Offer a call instead, adds a book-a-call link to sections clients tend to need help with. Turn it off and they work through those sections on their own.
Add Your Brokerage Consent Form
There's no separate on/off switch for your own consent form - the uploaded PDF is the switch. Upload one and every applicant signs it inside the Compliance section, under whatever label you give it. Remove it and the application goes back to asking only for standard privacy and credit-pull consent, with no trace of a brokerage-specific form.
- Open Application and find Your Consent Form.
- Set the label clients see, then upload a PDF. BrokerPlus reads its page count so the signature lands on the last page.
- Use Replace to swap in a new version, or the trash icon to remove it.
Replacing does not reach applications already sent
A superseded PDF stays in storage rather than disappearing. A client partway through a session signs the exact version they were given, so replacing the file only changes what new applications collect.
Only an admin or someone with compliance-management capability can upload, relabel, or remove this document, whether or not they can edit the rest of these settings.
Who Can Change What
Client intake questions are gated to the team's broker. The consent form is gated to compliance administrators. Everything else on this pane, including partial submission and the call offer, follows the same read-only rule as the rest of Client Requests settings: anyone but a view-only member can change it.
Common Gotchas
- A brand-new brokerage has no consent form and nothing missing looks broken. That absence is the default every existing account started on.
- Adding a consent form doesn't turn off the standard privacy and credit-pull consent questions. Those two stay on the Compliance section regardless.
- If your form used to be optional and a client's already signed it under one label, relabeling it later doesn't retroactively rename what they already agreed to.
What to Do Next
- Share Your Public Intake Link to turn on a permanent link that starts this same application.
- What Your Client Sees to walk the application as a client meets it.
- Set the Defaults Clients See to choose what happens after submission.
