A client you expect to see missing from Opportunities is almost never a bug. It is one of six things, roughly in order of how often each turns out to be the answer. Work down the list rather than guessing.
Check Your Thresholds First
Four of the opportunity blocks only count a client once they clear a number you set: equity access, reverse mortgage, move-up buyers, and going cold. A client who used to show up and stopped, or never appeared despite an obvious case, may simply be sitting on the wrong side of a threshold. The refinance block works the same way against your minimum monthly savings floor. See Adjust Your Opportunity Thresholds for what each number governs.
Check the Block and the Filters
A block is a slice with its own sort order, not the whole book - a client absent from Equity Access can still be sitting in All. Any filter you left set (a rate range, a balance band, a lender, a tag) narrows what shows and stays applied until you clear it, so an old filter is a common reason a client quietly disappears from view. See Filter and Sort Your Opportunities for what each one does.
Check the Deal Is Still in Your Book
The opportunities list only shows a live book deal: it needs an opportunity record, it must not be deleted, and its board stage must not be one flagged to leave the book (a funded or closed-off stage does this). The list also defaults to excluding deals still marked as a lead rather than a real mortgage, and drops contacts marked not interested or inactive - switch to a broader deal-status or lead filter if that might be the reason.
Check They Were Not Removed or Snoozed
These are not the same thing. A removed opportunity is held out of the list until it is restored. A snoozed one is not hidden at all - it still shows, carrying a badge and a future reminder date. So if a client is truly missing, look for a removal, not a snooze. See Snooze, Remove, or Delete an Opportunity for how to tell which happened and how to undo it.
Check Whose Book They Sit In
Opportunities are scoped to the assigned broker by default. If the client is assigned to a teammate, you will not see them unless you hold oversight and turn on Master View to show the whole brokerage. Solo brokerages share one book, so this never applies there.
Check the Record Is Complete
A missing email, balance, rate, or maturity date does not remove a client from the raw list, but it can push them out of a specific filter or threshold that depends on that number. A mortgage detail you just corrected also runs through a scheduled recalculation, so the updated savings or penalty figure may take a little time to catch up - see Fix a Client's Mortgage Details.
What to Do Next
- Review Adjust Your Opportunity Thresholds if a threshold is the likely cause.
- Clear your filters and check Filter and Sort Your Opportunities before assuming a client is gone.
- Read Snooze, Remove, or Delete an Opportunity to tell a removal from a snooze.
- Fix a Client's Mortgage Details if the record itself is what is incomplete.
