BrokerPlus does not keep every control on one giant settings page. A good number of switches live on the page they actually affect, so this is where to look when you know the name of a setting but not which page holds it.
How Settings Are Grouped
Open Settings and you get a rail down the side (a strip along the top on a phone) with four groups. You is your own identity, account and plan, and is where your profile and appearance controls live. Workspace covers how BrokerPlus behaves as you work, your automations and your assistant. Data is your book itself, importing it, mirroring it from Velocity or Finmo, and exporting it. Connections is everything that reaches another system, your integrations and, for an admin, developer API keys.
Each group name tells you what the setting is about, not which team owns the underlying table, so start with what the switch changes rather than who administers it.
Search by the Name of the Switch
Type into the search box above the rail using the words you would use for the thing you want to change, such as commission, block list or digest, rather than the name of a page. Search checks every area's own name first, then the individual switches inside it, then its description, so a specific term usually lands you on exactly the right result rather than a whole page you have to hunt through.
Selecting a result navigates you there. Search does not filter the rail in place, because the honest answer to where a setting lives is the page it lives on.
Settings That Live on Their Own Surface
A number of settings are not on the settings rail at all. Request reminders and client tracker stages live on Client Requests, task reminders live on Tasks, refinance and renewal thresholds live on Opportunities, equity report cadence lives on Pulse Reports, commission defaults live on Business, board stage rules live on the deal board's own settings, and reply behaviour for email and text lives on Inbox and Phone. Search still finds all of these by name, because looking for where a control lives should not depend on knowing it moved.
Link Straight to One Setting
When a result names a specific switch, choosing it opens the page and scrolls to that exact card, briefly highlighting it so you are not left checking labels on a page of similar-looking cards. That link is shareable: paste the resulting URL to someone else, or bookmark it, and it lands them on the same control the next time. A setting that lives on another surface has no such deep link. Choosing it opens that page, where the setting itself sits behind a button rather than out on the page.
Areas You May Not See
A few areas depend on who you are. Brokerage only appears for an admin whose organization has been through brokerage setup, since a solo broker's one-person account has nothing there to configure. Developer, and its API keys, is admin-only. If a colleague describes a settings area you cannot find, this is usually why, not a sign that search is missing something.
What to Do Next
- Update Your Profile and Signature for the settings under You.
- Look up how notifications and automatic tasks are controlled if a search result pointed you at one of those areas.
