Your licence answer is what BrokerPlus uses to route regulated work. It decides which deals can be assigned to you and which booking links can offer your time, and it supplies the numbers that print beside your name on a deal's documents and on client-facing marketing.
Each province licenses you separately, so each one gets its own class, expiry and numbers.

1:14Where the Licences Card Sits
Open Settings > Profile and find the Licences card. It appears only for people whose team role is broker. An assistant or an underwriter never sees it, because support staff do not present mortgages and nothing would read the answer.
Pick the Provinces You Are Licensed In
Start at the top, under Licensed Provinces. Select each province or territory you hold a licence in; a check mark marks the ones you have picked. Every province you select adds its own section below.
Unselecting a province removes its section and clears the class, expiry and numbers you entered for it, so a deal there never prints a licence that no longer applies. Selecting it again starts blank.
If you are not licensed anywhere, choose I'm Not Licensed under the province row instead of leaving it empty.
Fill In Each Province
Each province's section has four fields:
- Licence Class lists only the titles that province's regulator issues. Ontario offers Mortgage Agent Level 1, Mortgage Agent Level 2, Mortgage Broker and Principal Broker. British Columbia uses the titles in force from October 13, 2026: Mortgage Broker and Principal Broker. Manitoba offers Salesperson and Authorized Official.
- Expiry is the date that province's licence runs out.
- Broker Licence Number is your own number in that province.
- Brokerage Licence Number appears for principal brokers only. It is the firm's number in that province, which regulators require on public mortgage advertising.
Everything saves as you go. Click a province's name to fold its section away once it is filled in; a folded section still shows the class you hold there.
How a Deal Uses Your Licence
A deal uses the licence for the province its property is in. An Alberta file prints your Alberta numbers on its documents, and only an Alberta licence with a class that permits presenting mortgages and an expiry still in the future lets that file's licensed work reach you. A lapsed licence in one province does not stop work in another.
Handing a deal to someone else needs their licence on file
A deal cannot be handed to a teammate whose class does not permit presenting mortgages, and a licence that was never answered is refused the same way. Your own deals are never blocked: licensed tasks that nobody else qualifies for stay with the team's broker.
Anything that cannot name a province, such as a feature sheet or a lead form, prints your highest class and your first number.
What On File Means
An On file badge appears on the card once you have picked a province and a class. I'm Not Licensed also counts, because a licence that does not exist has no province to name.
