Read and Share the Client Brief

See what BrokerPlus picks up about a person from calls, draft the handoff brief, adjust it, and export a branded copy.

Open Contacts in BrokerPlus

The client brief is the handoff document for a file: who these people are, how they communicate, what's been discussed, and what a teammate picking this up needs to know before the first call. It's written for whoever covers the file next, never for the client themselves.

What Personal Context Collects

The Personal Context card on the profile holds details a client mentions on a call, family, plans, how they like to be reached, that BrokerPlus picks up and timestamps as they come up. It sits above the brief itself because it's the fastest-changing part of the file and updates as soon as a new call adds something.

Drafting the Brief

Choose Draft Brief the first time there's nothing written yet. BrokerPlus reads through the calls and notes on this contact and writes five sections: who they are, what was discussed, how to work with them, watch-outs, and next steps. Once a brief exists, open How to Work With [Name] from the same card to read the full document and regenerate it as new calls come in.

Editing a Section or Adding Your Own Note

Edit any section by hand and it's marked as written by you; regenerating the brief afterward leaves your wording alone rather than overwriting it; a section only reverts to drafted prose if you explicitly hand it back with the redraft button. Add an opening or closing note in your own words too, "Dana, taking this over while I'm away, call Elena first", neither is ever touched by a regeneration, since they're a note between two people, not a summary of the file.

The Communication Chart and Adjusting It

Each person on the file gets a communication style chart, DISC scores read from how they've actually talked on calls, with the specific lines that produced the read available underneath. Drag the chart to correct it by hand if a read seems off; a corrected chart is marked adjusted and can be reset back to what the calls suggest at any time.

Exporting a Branded PDF

From the full brief, turn off any section you don't want included, then Export PDF. The export always matches exactly what's shown in the preview beside it, right down to which sections are toggled on. It carries your team's brand, logo and colors, since it's a document one broker hands another, not something the client ever sees.

When There Is Nothing to Draft From

A brief is written from summarized calls and notes on the file. Draft Brief refuses to produce one for a contact with neither, with a message telling you to log a call or leave a note first. The Personal Context card and the communication chart also stay empty until there's a call to draw them from.
