Three calculators remember what you last worked on: Prepayment Penalty, the strategy comparison board, and Mortgage Plan. Each one keeps its own list and its own rules for how long an entry sticks around.
Recent Calculations in the Penalty Calculator
Every time you calculate a penalty, an entry lands under Recent Calculations at the bottom of the input column, showing the lender, balance, rate, and how long ago you ran it. The list keeps only your three most recent, and the newest push drops the oldest off the bottom. While an entry is active, any input you tweak updates that same entry in place rather than creating a new one, so a round of adjustments does not flood the list with near-duplicates.
Saved Strategies and Saved Plans
The strategy comparison board and Mortgage Plan save differently. Instead of a rolling local list, choosing Save on either writes it to the server under your brokerage, so a saved strategy or plan survives a device change and a teammate can open it too. Give it a title (and a client name, for a strategy) so it is recognizable in the list later. Both can optionally attach to a deal, which is what lets Mortgage Plan offer a refresh against that deal's current numbers later on.
Reopening One
A recent penalty calculation reopens when you click its entry under Recent Calculations, with every field it was calculated with, including the advanced options, so you can pick up exactly where you left off. A saved strategy or plan lives behind History in the calculator's header instead; pick it from that list and it reopens with everything it held when you saved it.
Removing One
Hover a penalty entry and use the small x that appears to drop it, or use Clear above the list to empty it in one action once there is more than one entry. A saved strategy or saved plan is removed from its own History panel with the trash icon beside it, which asks you to confirm before it deletes.
What Is Not Kept
Recent penalty calculations live only in this browser. They are not attached to your account, are not visible to teammates, and do not survive clearing your browser's site data or switching to a different computer. They also do not remember which deal (if any) was attached when you calculated, only the raw inputs. Every other calculator in the hub, everything outside these three, keeps no history at all: leave one and its inputs are gone unless you attached a deal, in which case reopening that deal's calculator prefills from the deal again.
