Once documents are uploaded to an Instant Verifier session, this is where you work through what came back: what each file was read as, what still needs your eyes, and what the extracted numbers add up to. It picks up after Verify a Client's Documents Instantly.
When You'd Use This
Open a verification's detail page anytime after documents are uploaded, right away to watch files get classified, or later to work through whatever landed in review.
The Status Bar
At the top of the session, four counts tell you where things stand: total documents, how many are still processing, how many are waiting on you in review, and how many are verified. A stalled processing count is worth a refresh; everything else updates live as documents finish reading.
The Documents Board
Below the status bar, every uploaded file sits in one of four columns:
- Reading - still being classified and extracted. Nothing to do yet.
- Needs review - didn't clearly match your intake answers, or wasn't confidently classified.
- Verified - matched what you declared.
- Rejected - doesn't belong to this file.
A draft from a client portal sits in Reading without being read - it's waiting on the client, not BrokerPlus. On a file with more than one applicant, use the borrower tabs above the board to filter to one person's documents; a type filter narrows further by document kind once more than one type is present.
Reclassifying a Document
Open any document to preview it. If the auto-detected type is wrong - a bank statement filed as a pay stub, say - use the type editor to reclassify it. Reclassifying sends the document back through extraction under the new type, so it briefly returns to a reading-like state before its column and label update.
Fix the type before chasing a flag
A wrong classification is often behind a document sitting in Needs review for no obvious reason: fields were checked against the wrong type's expectations. Reclassify first, then look at what's left.
Income, Down Payment and Liabilities
Below the documents board, BrokerPlus builds sections from what it could extract: an income section per employment stream (plus, on a multi-applicant file, a household total alongside each person's own), a down payment section, and a liabilities section listing debts pulled from statements and credit documents. Each section only appears once there's something to show, so a file with no down payment documents skips that section.
Any anomaly flagged against a section, such as a stated income that doesn't match a pay stub, surfaces inline with that section rather than in one combined list.
Transactions and Stated Income
If bank statements were uploaded, a Transactions section breaks out the account activity BrokerPlus could read. For a self-employed applicant, a Stated Income section replaces the income breakdown with the business-for-self calculation that type triggers.
A Reports section rounds out the page once there's something to report on, letting you produce a dated document from what's verified, covered in Generate a Verification Report.
What To Watch Out For
- A document can sit in Reading indefinitely if unreadable. Re-upload rather than wait if it hasn't moved in several minutes.
- Reclassifying doesn't undo a rejection - check the document again once re-reading finishes.
- Sections only render off what's present. A blank Income section usually means no income documents yet, not a failure.
What to Do Next
- Verify a Client's Documents Instantly to start another session or add documents to this one.
- Generate a Verification Report once the sections you need are populated.
- Work a Returned Request if you're following up on a client-submitted portal request instead.
