Connecting a mailbox and sharing it are two separate questions, and BrokerPlus asks them separately. Whether a mailbox is a Team inbox or your own personal one, you decide what teammates get to see of it.

5:12When You'd Use This
Use this when a teammate covers your inbox or needs your schedule without the whole mailbox, or when a mailbox should stay yours alone. It applies to every mailbox you connect, personal or promoted.
Connecting and Sharing Are Two Questions
Under What to Connect, Email and Calendar each get their own switch: that's what BrokerPlus is allowed to pull from the account. Under What to Share With Your Team, Email and Calendar get a second, separate pair of switches: that's what teammates can see of what you've connected. Everything you don't explicitly share stays private by default. You can't share what you haven't connected, so each sharing switch is disabled with an explanation until its matching connect switch is on.
Share a Mailbox With Your Team
Turn on Share > Email and teammates can read this mailbox's mail. Turn on Share > Calendar and they can see your meetings, following the same connect-then-share order: sharing calendar requires calendar sync on first.
Share Only Your Deal Emails
Under Additional Options, Only Share Deal Emails narrows Share > Email to conversations linked to a deal. Once one email in a conversation is linked, teammates see the whole conversation, later replies included. Everything else stays private to you. To share a conversation, link it to its deal from your inbox.
Hide Your Meeting Details
Sharing your calendar doesn't mean sharing what's on it. Under Additional Options, Hide My Meeting Details swaps a shared meeting's title, guests, and location for a plain "Busy" block once calendar sharing is on. Teammates still see that you're unavailable, just not what you're doing.
Include a Calendar in Your Booking Availability
Also under Additional Options, Include in My Availability makes this mailbox's busy times block your booking link. It needs calendar sync on. If clients book over meetings you can see elsewhere, check that this mailbox is included.
What Changes When You Turn Sharing Off
Turning a share switch off is immediate and non-destructive: nothing in your mailbox or on your calendar is deleted, it just stops appearing to teammates who could previously see it. Disconnecting the mailbox is a different, more serious action, and the mailbox management panel warns you separately before that happens, since it deletes synced mail and cancels any notetaker booked on synced meetings.
A team inbox is shared by definition
Once a mailbox is promoted to a team inbox, its purpose is for the team to use together, so its sharing settings work the same way as a personal mailbox's, on the same panel. See Send From a Team Inbox for how promotion works and what it does to the mailbox that was serving that role before.
Common Gotchas
- A share switch that looks unavailable almost always means its connect switch is off. Turn on Email or Calendar under What to Connect first.
- Hiding meeting details only affects what's shown to teammates you've shared your calendar with; it has no effect on your own view or on your booking page.
- Sharing calendar and including it in your booking availability are two different switches. Turning one on doesn't turn the other on for you.
