A thread you cannot act on yet does not need to sit in your inbox reminding you it is unfinished. Remind Me tucks it away and brings it back on your own schedule, so your inbox holds what is actually yours to do today.

5:12When to Use Remind Me
Reach for Remind Me when a thread needs a follow-up later rather than an answer now: a client asked you to circle back after they talk to their spouse, a lender said to check in next week, or you sent something and want to be nudged if it goes quiet. The thread leaves your inbox the moment you set the reminder and stops crowding your list.
Pick a Time, or Type One
Open Remind Me from a thread and you get a short list of presets: later today, this evening, tomorrow morning, this weekend, next week. Each one only shows while its time is still ahead of you, so This Evening drops off the list once it is past six.
You can also type a time in plain words, like "Thursday at 9pm" or "in 3 hours", and BrokerPlus parses it as you type, showing the exact day and time it landed on before you commit. Press enter to confirm the parsed time, or click a preset instead.
Remind Me Against If No Reply
A reminder has two distinct modes, and they behave differently. Remind me brings the thread back at the chosen time no matter what happened in between. If no reply only brings it back if nobody in the thread has answered by then. If they do reply first, the thread returns to your inbox on its own, on the strength of that reply, and the reminder never fires. Choose the condition from the picker beside the time field before you set the reminder.
Where a Reminded Thread Waits
A thread with a pending reminder leaves the visible inbox but is not gone. It lives in the reminders folder until its time comes, then returns to your inbox on its own. Setting a reminder is a BrokerPlus state, so it changes nothing in your actual mailbox, in Gmail or Outlook alike, and it never resends or forwards the message.
Clear a Reminder Early
Open the thread again while a reminder is pending and Remind Me shows a Clear reminder option instead of the time picker. Clearing it returns the thread to your inbox right away rather than waiting for the original time.
