Triage Your Inbox

Clearing a morning's mail is mostly triage: decide what to keep looking at, and move everything else out of the way without leaving your seat. BrokerPlus gives you the same handful of actions on a single thread or on fifty at once, and every one of them can be undone.

What Mark as Done Does

Mark as done takes a thread out of your inbox and files it under Done. It is a BrokerPlus state, not something the underlying mailbox knows about, so Gmail or Outlook never sees it. If the client replies afterwards, the thread leaves Done and comes back to your inbox on its own, since the conversation is not actually finished. From Done, Move to inbox reverses it.

Star, Spam, and Trash

Starring flags a thread for yourself without changing where it lives; star it again to clear the flag. Move to trash hides a thread from your lists and files it under Trash, and Restore brings it back. None of these touch your provider mailbox either.

Act on Several Threads at Once

Check the box beside a row to select it, then shift-click another row to select the whole run between them. Once anything is selected, a bar appears at the bottom of the list with the actions that folder allows: mark done, mark read, trash, restore, clear reminder, or move back to inbox, depending on where you are. Select all fills in every thread on the page, and disappears once nothing is left to add. A mixed selection of threads and drafts offers each kind's own actions side by side, so nothing is applied to the wrong one.

Undo a Triage Action

Every triage action, single or bulk, offers an undo in the toast that appears after it runs, and pressing z reverses the most recent one without reaching for the mouse. A bulk undo only reverses the threads the action actually touched, so it never re-opens a thread that was already done before you started.

Keyboard Shortcuts

With your cursor over a row, or a thread open, these keys work without touching the mouse:

• j / k or the arrow keys move between threads, Enter or o opens one, Esc returns to the list.
• e marks done, s stars or unstars, h opens Remind me, # moves to trash, z undoes the last action.
• c composes, r replies, a replies all, f forwards.
