Work With Drafts and Scheduled Sends

Find an unfinished email, and see what is parked to go out later.

Open Email in BrokerPlus

A draft and a scheduled send are two different states of an unsent email. A draft is still being written, open it and keep editing whenever you like. A scheduled send is finished and queued for a future time, and sits waiting rather than open for changes, until you cancel it or it goes out.

Save a Draft and Come Back to It

Replying to a thread saves your progress on its own: the first keystroke creates the draft, and every pause after that saves the latest text, with a small Saving or Saved indicator beside the send button. Writing a brand-new message from the compose window works the other way, a Save draft button holds it whenever you choose to press it. Either way, closing the composer without sending does not lose your text.

Where Unsent Drafts Appear

An in-progress reply rides at the top of your inbox as its own row, right beside the thread it belongs to, so nothing you started gets buried under newer mail. The Drafts folder is a second, complete view of the same unsent messages, useful when you want to see everything you have open across every thread in one list rather than mixed in with read mail. Opening a draft from either place drops you back into the same composer, recipients, subject and body intact.

The Scheduled Folder

Choosing a future send time on a message moves it out of the ordinary Drafts view into its own Scheduled folder, listed soonest first. A scheduled row shows the time it is set to go out. Unlike a draft, a scheduled message is not open for line-by-line editing from the list, it is a finished message waiting for its moment, not a draft still being written.

Send a Scheduled Email Now

If a scheduled message no longer needs to wait, use Send now on its row in the Scheduled folder. This reschedules it for the current moment, so the next pass sends it within a minute rather than holding it for its original time.

Cancel a Scheduled Send

Cancel schedule on a row pulls the message back before it goes, returning it to a normal, editable draft rather than deleting it, so you can rewrite it, change who it goes to, or delete it outright once it is back in your hands. A message already sent cannot be cancelled, and once the scheduled time passes and BrokerPlus picks it up for delivery, cancelling is no longer possible either.

What to Do Next

  • Write and Send an Email, including how to schedule a send for later.
  • Let Your Assistant Draft Replies to see how a suggested reply differs from one you started yourself.
  • Set a Reminder on a Thread so a thread waiting on someone else doesn't get lost.

Keeps track of what you have already been through.
