Set the Thank-You and the Auto-Reply

Decide what a client sees after submitting and what lands in their inbox.

Open Lead Forms in BrokerPlus

What a client sees right after submitting, and what lands in their inbox afterwards, are two separate things you write once and BrokerPlus handles from then on. Both live under the Thank-You section of a form's settings.

The Thank-You Screen

Write the headline and message a visitor sees the moment they submit - this is the whole reply on screen, so say plainly what happens next: that you have their details, what you're doing with them, and roughly when they'll hear from you. Keep it short and in plain sentences; a visitor who just handed over their number reads this before anything else.

Sending Them Somewhere Instead

Turn on Send Them Somewhere Instead if you'd rather send the visitor on to a page of your own - a booking page, a resource, your site's own thank-you page - instead of showing the message above. Paste the full address into the field underneath. A visitor who submits is taken straight there once the lead is saved.

Writing the Auto-Reply

Turn on the auto-reply to send a note back to the lead within a minute of submitting, written as if it's from you. Choose Email, Text, or both from Send It By, then write the subject and body for whichever channel you picked. Drop {first_name} anywhere in the copy and it's swapped for their actual name when it sends. This message answers the enquiry they just made, so it goes out whether or not the form's subscribe box was ticked - it's a reply to what they asked for, not a marketing send, and it's a different thing entirely from adding someone to a mailing list.

Replying by Text Instead

A text auto-reply needs its own copy, not a shortened version of the email - write it as its own message, up to 320 characters. It only sends if the form actually asked for a phone number and the visitor gave one; if your questions don't collect a number, the editor warns you under the text box, and no text goes out no matter what you write there. A number that's opted out of texts is skipped the same quiet way a suppressed email address is, so a blocked send never holds up the lead itself being saved.
