Archiving takes a deal off your pipeline without destroying its record. The file, its documents, conditions, submissions, and history are all retained, so it still appears in a compliance export - it simply stops showing on your board, in your tasks, and in your book until you bring it back.
What Archiving Takes With It
Archiving removes the deal from your board, your task list, your compliance hub, and your book in one step. Its documents, conditions, and submissions travel with it rather than being deleted. Any recurring reports the deal was sending to a client stop. Its pending tasks are cancelled and any queued Pulse messages are dismissed - these do not come back when you restore the deal, even though the deal itself does.
Archiving From the Deal
Open a deal's Actions menu and choose to archive it. A confirmation names the reference number and explains what comes off with it. If the deal is marked funded, the confirmation calls that out before you proceed. Confirm to archive.
Only the brokerage that owns a deal can archive or restore it. On a deal shared with another brokerage, the other side has to ask the owner to do it.
Finding Archived Deals
Open the menu at the top of your pipeline and choose Archived Deals. The archive opens in a dialog over your board, so closing it returns you to the same place. Search by name or reference number to find a deal.
Each row shows the deal and a Restore button. An archived file cannot be opened directly until you restore it.
Restoring a Deal
From the Archived list, press Restore on a deal's row. The deal returns to its board and its book entry reappears, but its cancelled tasks and dismissed Pulse messages are gone for good - restoring is only the reverse of the archive itself, not of the cleanup it triggered.
Deleting a board also sends its visible deals here. Restore one while its old board is still deleted and it lands on another board in the same team. BrokerPlus prefers a board for its deal type and a matching stage; when there is no match, it uses an available board and stage instead.
Archive Against Marking a Deal Closed or Dead
Archiving is for a file you want out of sight entirely, including out of your book and your compliance hub. If you only want a deal off your board while keeping it visible as a closed or dead outcome, mark it closed or dead from the deal instead - that keeps it in your pipeline history without archiving it.
