Clear the Readiness Checks

Understand the three checks a submission has to pass, what each blocker is asking for, and which items only advise.

Open Mortgages in BrokerPlus

A deal only leaves the building once three separate questions are answered, and readiness keeps them apart so you can see which one is actually holding you up.

Where Readiness Is Shown

Open a deal and go to its Submission tab. When anything is outstanding, a strip across the top counts the items to clear before the next send and groups them: Application, Conditions, Documents, Credit, Identity and AML, Consents and disclosures and Package. Open a submission and the same facts appear as the Readiness card, headed Ready to submit, Not ready to submit, or Validate to confirm the structure.

The Deal, the Package, and the Structure

The card carries one line per lane. Deal is the file itself: a borrower on the deal, a closing date, every condition satisfied or waived, at least one classified document, the mortgage figures, and a credit bureau for each borrower. Package is what you are sending, so it reads Package: no blockers only once the package is built and built from the current contents. Structure is the lender's own field check, and it clears only after you press Validate; until then it says Structure: not validated yet, which means unknown rather than clean.

Working Through the Grouped Blockers

Open a group in the strip to see its individual items, then use the Open link beside them to land on the tab where that work is done. Conditions go to the deal's conditions, identity items to its AML register, disclosures to the signing view. The Package group has no link because it is cleared on the Submission tab you are already on.

Compliance Items That Advise but Do Not Block

Consent, identity, know-your-client and disclosure items sit in their own Compliance line and say plainly that they do not hold the send. They are tracked on the compliance register and you are expected to read them before transmitting. The exception is a sanctions freeze on a party, which does block and appears under Identity and AML.

Deals imported from Finmo

Consent, identity and AML taken in Finmo do not travel with the import, so BrokerPlus reports them as records it cannot see. Check them in Finmo if you are unsure.

Why a Check Can Reappear

Readiness is recalculated from the same gate the send itself uses, so a lane that cleared yesterday can reopen. Editing what is in the package invalidates the built copy and asks for a rebuild. A failed validation puts Structure back to unvalidated, and the check runs again on the server at transmit.

When No Lender Connection Is Set Up

With neither Velocity nor Finmo connected, the send is closed and the blocker says so: connect one under Settings, then Integrations. You can still build the package and the underwriter note in the meantime.

What to Do Next

Keeps track of what you have already been through.
