Choosing the lender is one list: each lender shows its logo, and the one you pick opens in place to show its products and the submission agent it goes out under. Once the lender is chosen and the package is built, the last step of the submission flow sends the file. The application goes first, its documents follow, and the lender's answer comes back onto the same screen.
With neither Velocity nor Finmo connected, the tab shows No submission platform connected and a Connect a Platform button that opens Settings > Sync.

5:57The Final Review Before Sending
The submission runs in three steps: Lender & product, Documents, then Review & send. The review step opens with the readiness card, then a snapshot of Borrowers and Outstanding conditions, which is what an underwriter reads first.
Readiness is reported in separate lanes, so a green on one does not stand in for the others: structure, package, deal and compliance. Compliance items still owed on the register are listed there but do not hold the send.
Validate Against Submit to Lender
Validate checks the application's structure with the lender rail and answers Structure validated or This submission did not validate, with each error linked to the field it came from. It is a structural result only, not a verdict on the whole file.
Submit to lender stays disabled while the deal has readiness blockers or the last validation failed. Hover it to see which of the two it is and the list behind it.
Sending the Application, Then the Documents
Pressing Submit to lender queues the application. If the package is built, the documents are sent straight after it, so one press does both.
If the package is not built, only the application goes. Send documents appears once two things are true: the application has a number, and the package is built. Build it from the Documents step, then press it.
The order is enforced on the server. Documents sent before the application are refused, and so is a package that changed since it was last built, which comes back as a stale package rather than going out half right.
Sending Through Finmo
A deal that Finmo holds is submitted through its own flow: Lender, Documents, Note & send. Finmo requires a note on every submission, so that step is not optional. Use Refresh from Finmo if a lender you signed today is missing from the panel.
Payment Term sits on the same step, and Finmo will not send a file without it. It opens on whatever the application already says, so on most files there is nothing to do. When the application has not answered it, pick Closed when the borrower would owe a penalty for paying the mortgage out early, or Open when they would not. It goes to the lender as part of the product you are asking for, so nothing is assumed on your behalf.
Submission Agent is who the lender records the file under, and it sits inside the lender you pick. Choose the lender and the agent appears beneath it, opening on you. Change it when this lender pools your volume under a colleague. The choice is remembered for that lender, so the next file you send there opens on the same person while every other lender keeps its own. It appears only when your brokerage has more than one agent set up. If Finmo has none for you, the send stops before anything reaches the lender and says so.
If the documents do not follow
When Finmo accepts the submission but the documents do not transfer, the screen says so. Do not send the deal again; attach the documents to that submission in Finmo.
Confirming It Arrived
Check for decision pulls anything new from the lender. It answers with the number of decisions synced, or No new decision from the lender yet. Decisions land under Lender decisions with the status, the lender reference and any note the lender wrote.
Resending After a Change
If documents changed after the package was built, the card says the package was built before those changes. Rebuild it, then press Send documents again. Each document picks up a Sent to lender tag once it arrives.
