A client sends one PDF holding two years of statements, or the pages you need are spread across four uploads. On the Documents tab you can take pages out of any of those files and build one new document from them. Moving a page from one document into another is the same job with two documents selected.
Building the Document
- Tick the box on each card you want pages from, then choose Combine Pages in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
- Select a document along the top of the window to see its pages. Select any page to take it, and select it again to give it back. A page can only go into the new file once.
- To take several at once, hold Shift and select a second page to take everything between the two, or select Select All to take the whole document. Clear gives back every page you took from the document you are looking at.
- Move between the documents and keep taking. The count on each one shows how many pages you have taken from it.
- Drag the tiles under The New Document into the order you want them to appear.
- Name the file, then select Create Document.
The new document lands on the board and opens so you can check it.
What Happens to the Originals
Nothing. Every document you took pages from stays on the deal exactly as it arrived, because it is your record of what the client actually sent.
That means the same pages are now in two places, so a lender package would carry them twice. Tick Hide These Pages On The Originals before you create the file and the pages you took stop going out with the documents they came from. The pages are still there: open any of those documents, select Pages, and show a page again whenever you want it back. Pages you already hid stay hidden, and the remaining pages keep their chosen order.
A document is never left empty
If hiding the chosen pages would leave none visible, that file keeps its current page selection. Exclude it from lender packages if you no longer want to send it.
