Board view has a multi-select mode for when the same change belongs on several deals at once - moving a batch to another pipeline, closing out a run of dead files, or clearing cards off the board together.
Entering Selection Mode
Open Select deals from the board's more options menu, or press and hold a card until it picks itself up - either way, ticks appear on every card and a bar rises from the bottom of the screen counting what's selected. Click more cards to add them, and press Escape or Done on the bar to leave selection mode.
Selecting a Whole Column
Open a column's own menu and choose Select all to pick up everything in that stage in one press, rather than clicking each card. It only appears on a column that holds at least one deal.
Moving the Selection to Another Board
Pick a board from the Move to board dropdown on the selection bar and the whole set moves at once, the same way dragging a single card there does. Selection mode closes automatically once the move is under way.
Duplicating and Marking Dead in Bulk
Duplicate copies each selected deal into a new file on the same board, starting at its first live stage - each copy gets its own reference number and starts with no submissions, funding or compliance history. Mark dead closes out every selected deal that's still active. Both actions run one deal at a time behind the scenes, so if part of a large selection can't go through, the confirmation names exactly how many landed rather than reporting the whole batch as done.
Archiving the Selection
Delete takes the selected deals off every board, your tasks and your compliance hub, along with their documents, conditions and submissions - but nothing is destroyed. The underlying records are retained for your regulatory file and still appear in a compliance export, and you can bring a deal back from the archive at any time. If you only want a deal off the board and don't need it out of sight entirely, mark it dead instead.
Which Deals Refuse a Bulk Action
A funded deal carries a completed regulatory transaction, so it's left out of a bulk delete - the button shows how many of your selection are excluded before you confirm. Mark dead only touches deals that are still active; anything already closed, funded or dead in your selection is skipped and the bar tells you how many. Duplicate has no such exclusion, but a deal that fails to copy - most often a naming clash on its reference number - is reported separately from the ones that succeeded.
