The search box and the Filters button on the board narrow what you're looking at, and the two work differently under the hood: search reaches across your whole organization, while a filter only ever narrows the board you're already on.
Searching Across Every Board
Type into the search box and it matches the loan reference number, the deal name, the lender file reference, the lender's name, the subject property's address, and the borrower or co-applicant's name, email or phone - across every board, not just the one on screen. A near miss still turns up a result, so a typo in a name doesn't come back empty. The search box waits a quarter second after you stop typing before it runs, and the term stays in the page's URL so a search you shared or bookmarked reopens exactly as you left it.
When a Match Is on Another Board
If nothing on the current board matches your search, BrokerPlus doesn't just say so - it shows what matched elsewhere, grouped by the board each deal sits on, with the stage it's in and an Open board button beside each group. A deal on no board at all still gets its own group rather than being left out. Each group lists up to five deals before it tells you how many more are waiting on that board.
The Filters Panel
Press Filters to open every other way to narrow the board: stage, deal type, tags, status, assigned broker, document status (outstanding conditions or all clear), a loan amount range, when the deal closes (a window like Next 30 Days, a year your book closed in, or your own dates), and a renewal window for deals approaching maturity. The amount and date filters can include deals with no value set, so a range doesn't silently hide the files that haven't been filled in yet. The loan amount range reads the same figure the deal card shows: the total loan, which on an insured deal includes the default insurance premium when it's added to the mortgage. The same panel holds your saved views.
Filtering by Where a Deal Came From
Source narrows the board to deals by where they first came from: Finmo Sync, Velocity Sync, Spreadsheet Import, or Created in BrokerPlus. A deal keeps its source for good, so a file you created here and later sent to Finmo still counts as created in BrokerPlus.
The Source filter is not offered in the Advanced view.
Sorting a Board or a Column
Sort lives in the board's more options menu, and the same control is mirrored in every column's own menu and in the list view's column headers - wherever you set it, it's one sort applied to the whole board, not just that column. Choose Recently updated, Newest first, Oldest first, Closing soonest, or Maturing soonest - a deal with no maturity date sorts to the end whichever direction you pick, rather than jumping to the front.
Clearing Filters and Sharing a Filtered Link
Every active filter shows as a removable chip under the toolbar, with a single Clear all to drop them together. Because a filter lives in the page's URL, copying the link shares the exact view you're looking at with a teammate - what board, what filters, what sort - and reopening it later restores the same board. When a combination is one you'll come back to often, save it as a view instead of rebuilding it each time.
